Salary: £23,000 – £35,000 plus benefits

Owing to business growth, we are now looking to appoint a talented and highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in the manufacture, installation, modification and fault finding of electrical control systems on a variety of overhead cranes, hoists and other material handling equipment.
As an electrical engineer you would be involved in the entire process of the project, from conceptual design, through manufacture of panels and hardware, to the installation and commissioning on site.
Whilst the position is largely an electrical role, a good understanding of mechanical engineering is an essential requirement, as once on site you will need to call upon your skill base to solve problems autonomously.
As the sole UK distributors for the Flex Radio control system, a considerable amount of your time will be spent on the installation, modification or fault finding on radio control systems. We also manufacture bespoke electrical panels and control systems, incorporating Inverters, Logic relays and PLC’s, Encoder feedback and positioning systems, overload systems and condition monitoring systems.
In addition to the above, we have a number of regular service customers who rely on us for breakdown cover and the service and repairs of their existing cranes, whilst this is not a frequent occurrence it is a vital part of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following qualities and qualifications:
- A proven track record in a similar role for a lifting equipment company/manufacturer
- A time served or qualified electrical engineer
- Some knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Experience with lifting equipment and their control systems and types
- Practical knowledge of Inverters, PLC’s, Radio controls and electrics
- A good natural communicator with excellent interpersonal qualities
- A diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required
- A good problem solver, who can think their way around obstacles
- An investigative nature and a general interest in engineering and its applications
- A keenness to continue training on new equipment and legislation
- A flexible approach to working out of hours, site work, and overnight stays etc.

Assistant to the Engineering Department/Manager
Salary: £20,000 – £25,000
Location: Stourbridge

A dynamic individual is required to assist with the organisation, administration and management of our expanding engineering department.
The individual will report to the Engineering Manager, and will be involved in all aspects of the department’s activities, from the initial quotation stage through to the installation of varying types of engineered project works.
Key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Assist with correlation of labour and scheduling of engineering staff
- Creation of technical quotations, drawings and basic calculations
- Organisation of plant and hire equipment
- Interpretation of engineering drawings for procurement of materials and services
- Purchasing, order tracking and scheduling
- Administration of the department and the “Job file” system
- Creation of risk assessment and method statement documents
- Assistance with the implication and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures
- Site attendance for quotations, surveys and installations to new and existing customers
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following qualities and qualifications:
- A proven track record within an engineering department and/or lifting equipment business
- A time served or qualified mechanical lifting equipment engineer
- Computer literate and familiar with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- A good natural communicator with excellent interpersonal qualities
- A diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required
