Nine Reasons to choose Flex Radio Control from Crane Services
TWO Transmitters
Each system comes complete with a spare transmitter in either 4, 8 or 12 button configurations, in case you accidentally damage or lose one.
Quality
Unlike many other radio remote control systems, Flex systems use top-quality microprocessors (encoding, decoding and RF) from well-known chip manufacturers such as MICROCHIP and CHIPCON. Every system is bench tested for 72 hours before delivery.
Cost
Competitively priced, this system is amazing value.
Ex-Stock Availability
All standard and some special systems are available for immediate despatch or collection.
User Programmable
The Flex system is equipped with more than 200 user-programmable functions to suit all types of applications – no specialist programming is required.
Unique I-CHIP Design
The I-CHIP functions similar to SIM cards used on mobile phones, with the ability for the user to transfer information and settings from one transmitter to another. The Flex system can also be set to full continuous transmission via the I-Chip setting (range: 1~60 minutes or continuous).
Durable & Rugged Enclosures
The transmitter and receiver enclosures are manufactured from industrial-strength nylon and fibreglass composite materials that are highly resistant to breakage and deformation even in the most aggressive environments. The enclosures are protected electrically to IP66.
Experience
Established for over 50 years, Crane Services has the knowledge and expertise to offer a comprehensive back-up and repair service within 24 hours.
Certification
Flex systems are authorised to carry the following certifications:
EN 954-1:1996 CAT-3

Transmitter Options
The Flex 4EX, 4 button system is designed for a two motion operation hoist. For example (1) Raise and lower (top two buttons) & left and right travel motions (bottom two buttons). (2) For any machine requiring up to 4 separate functions requiring one or two stages of operation. (3) The system can be programmed for more complex functions, e.g. latched outputs for floodlight control, selector switches and other special functions. The unit has dual depression buttons as standard for two speed control.
The Flex 8EX, 8 button system is the industry standard for the overhead crane, being capable of controlling both long and cross travel motions with independent control of two hoist units plus the optional pre selection of up to 4 crab units. All functions are equipped with dual depression buttons for twin speed operation. All buttons are user configurable with up to 200 functions available giving options such as 3 or 4 wire operation, special control functions for operation of dual speed motors, magnet control, 3 speed operation etc. The system is also capable of other diverse applications where remote control of mobile equipment is required, e.g. railway maintenance vehicles, pump controls, winch systems.

This small receiver for the Flex 4 system is ideal for mounting on a small hoist because of its compact size and little weight.
The Flex 12EX, 12 button system is similar to the 8 button system, but the additional buttons allow even more optional controls, e.g. slewing left and right, opening and closing of a grab, complex control of magnet beams, latching operations etc. The user can configure the transmitters to suit individual requirements, and program each button to perform its own customised task.

The transmitter is shown to scale relative to the 4 button transmitter
