There has been much ill informed comment about radio control systems for lifting equipment. Rob wrote the following letter to Hoist Magazine to put the record straight.

Crane Services are pleased to announce the appointment of John Bird to our team.   John has worked for Demag Cranes and Components for many years and has extensive expertise in hoist and travel drive engineering.   He is also an expert in Radio Control equipment having been in the front line in helping to introduce the HBC system to the UK market some 15 years ago.   His role in the company is Project Manager, and he will be pleased to handle your enquiries for all project work, especially involving electrical content.

 

Also in the news, we are delighted to announce that Crane Services have been appointed as the sole UK and Ireland distributor for Flex Radio Control equipment.  

Unlike much of the equipment available on the market, the Flex system is extremely good value for money and comes with a spare transmitter as standard (no more climbing onto the crane to plug the pendant back in when the transmitter has been smashed or lost).   The transmitter is made from extremely rugged glass fibre and nylon composite, so that if you do drop it, you can be confident that it will still work.   Ask us for a demonstration!   Full technical details can be found on our web site.
